A lot of my artworks explore what it means to be Chinese Canadian. There is always a space of “in-betweenness” that I have felt being born in Canada with strong cultural roots in Hong Kong. 10 layers of Hong Kong, is a series of painting that explores the fragmented memories I have of Hong Kong since I last visited. Each painting is part of a cityscape of Hong Kong.
Each painting is created on mixed media paper with acrylic paint and black ink.
